A Memorial Service for Maria is being planned by her colleagues and friends for Saturday 28 August from noon to 3 in the White Tent on the Commencement Lawn. Details will follow when available, but here's what we know now:
-- Due to University Covid restrictions attendance will be limited to 100 people, and masks and social distancing will be required; vaccinations are strongly recommended.
-- Lunch from Sol Azteca will be served -- no charge, but donations appreciated.
-- Parking fees are attendees' responsibility, but of course emeritus faculty have lifetime free parking (one year at a time); permits may be obtained by emailing parking@sonoma.edu, or calling (707) 664-4321 - 4 and leaving a voicemail, or calling Megan Varnadore at (310) 951-0075. The University will either mail you the annual parking pass at your preferred address or you can pick it up at Seawolf Services in Salazar Hall, easily accessible on foot from the 30-minute free-parking zone at the main flagpole in front of Person Theater
