As another academic year begins, there have been a few changes in the composition of the Board of SSU-ERFSA. We welcome five new members:
- Steven Winter, Kinesiology, who just retired in June, has agreed to serve as Secretary, a position that has been open for several years, and filled by other Board members on a rotating basis;
- Dave Hanes, Biology, who will gradually take over the responsibilities of Communications Manager from Rick Luttmann;
- Andrea Neves, Education and NAMS;
- Roshni Rustomji, India Studies;
- Deborah Hammond, Hutchins.
Sally Hurtado de Lopez will remain as President, and Rick Luttmann will remain as Treasurer and (for at least one term) Academic Senator.
As we have announced, the Board is negotiating with faculty governance for a greater role for ERFSA and its members in the Senate and its Committees. With the expansion of the Board we are well-positioned to fill Committee assignments should we succeed in obtaining them.
