SSU Academic Senate Meeting of 26 August 2021: This meeting is the first of the ‘21-‘22 academic year. The Senate, via the Consent Calendar, ratified the list of retiring (and FERP-completing) faculty who are eligible for Emeritus status, and forwarded the list to the President.  Name
LTC Webinar at SJSU: The slides that were presented at the August 18, 2021 LTC Webinar that was held by the San Jose State University emeriti group are now available for download.
CalPERS Health Plan Rates for 2022: Now posted.
Maria Hess Memorial: A Memorial Service for Maria is being planned by her colleagues and friends for Saturday 28 August from noon to 3 in the White Tent on the Commencement Lawn. Details will follow when available, but here's what we know now:
CSU-ERFSA CalPERS Board Election: The CSU-ERFSA Executive Committee has endorsed Tiffany Emon-Moran  and Margaret Brown in upcoming CalPERS Board of Administration election. Your vote must be received by 11:59 p.m. PST on September 27.

Maurice Blaug: We regret to report the death of Maurice Blaug last Wednesday (7 July 2021). Maurice came from Minnesota to Sonoma State in 1970 and taught in the Hutchins School until his retirement
Maria Hess: Maria Hess died peacefully this morning (July 15, 2021). She was a Professor in the Psychology Department.
CSU-ERFSA 2021 Small Grants Awards Program: CSU-ERFA grants are available to CSU-ERFSA members to support research and creative projects that are in accordance with the following goals:

The SSU Emeritus and Retired Faculty & Staff Association (SSU-ERFSA) provides opportunities for maintaining professional relations with colleagues; works to address concerns and preserve the rights and benefits of emeritus and retired faculty and staff; provides a voice for retired faculty through an elected representative to the SSU Academic Senate; and, keeps up to date with the statewide organization, California State University - Emeritus and Retired Faculty Association (CSU-ERFA), which protects the rights of retired California State University faculty and staff.
