SSU Academic Senate Meeting of 12 May 2022: Chair Morimoto provided some data regarding the successful No Confidence vote. There were 173 YES, 105 NO, and a large number of abstains. Turnout by employment category: TT 83%; SSP2+ 41%; lecturers 28%; coaches 14%.
SSU Academic Senate Meeting of 28 April 2022: Chair Morimoto made some clarifying comments about the selection of membership for the ad hoc Budget Committee. She acknowledged that members were not “elected”, because due to the urgency of getting the group together it was necessary to shortcut the full process.
SSU Academic Senate Meeting of 14 April 2022: Because of Spring Break, this was the first Academic Senate meeting since 17 March. Because of the high drama unfolding this week, over 150 people participated in the Senate’s zoom meeting. Normally attendance is about 50. (There are only about 20-24 voting members of the Senate.)
