The Board of SSU-ERFSA expresses its strong support for the CSU faculty in its current labor action protesting the CSU management's refusal to bargain a fair contract. We are delighted that one day of striking had its intended effect and brought the CSU back to the bargaining table, and now faculty can return to the classrooms where they belong, teaching students.
However, the Board expresses its strong disapproval of the unwillingness of CSU-ERFSA leadership to support the faculty in its labor action. We are appalled that CSU-ERFSA declined the opportunity to support our still-in-service colleagues. The question arises what our organization is good for if it ducks its responsibilities in such a time of crisis.
