2. Provost/Vice-President, Academic Affairs – (K. Moranski)
- Fall 2023 Applications open till Feb 26; later then an other CSU. Have received 12.7K applications with 10.8K admitted so far. SSU has admitted a higher percentage than any other CSU. So far 342 deposits vs. 64 this time last year.
- Going with Lopez to L.A. County to talk to 6 school districts about automatic admission. Will Reposition a couple of recruiters to LA area for personal contacts at schools.
- Academic Master Plan moving forward
- Series of Grants from Chancellor’s Office for $400K for Graduation Initiative
- For Spring 77% of classes are in-person.
3. Vice President/Admin & Finance - (M. Ahmed)
- American Heart Assn. Go Red for Women Day is tomorrow Feb. 3rd
- Many downed trees that needed to be cleaned up. In process of assessing other trees that maybe compromised.
4. Vice President for Student Affairs – (G. Jones) - Reach Program has given out 200 $1K each scholarships. - Career Fest is March 10th.
- Psychological Services currently has no wait for in-person or tele-health appts. - Re-enrollment around 97% of students.
5. Statewide Senators - (E. Newman, R. Senghas)
- Attended 4-Day State AS before semester started.
- GE Advisory Committee has been asked to align GE package with the American Institution requirements for equity. Have been told by Chancellor’s Office that Cal-GETC Pattern for First-Time First-Year Students will be different than for Transfer students. Resolution that faculty work on Resolution AB 928 Cal-GETC work should be compensated.
- Passed resolutions on Expansion of CSU Independent Professional Doctoral Degree Programs / Funding Summer Advocacy Work for the Position of Legislative Specialist of the AS-CSU / Request for Increased Ventilation and Air Filtration Infrastructure Across the CSU System / Adapting a Font Designed for Readability for CSU Business / Solidarity with Iranian University Communities Protesting Violent Repression in Response to the “Women, Life, Freedom” Movement / In Support of Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act Compliance in the CSU / Establishing a Timely Response to Campus Senate Resolutions and Policies . CSU Faculty and Staff Justice Equity and Diversity Housing Assistance Program / Systemic Inclusion of Preferred Names and Pronouns within the CSU System

6. Chairs, Standing Committees:
a. Academic Planning, Assessment & Resources – (E. Acosta Lewis) - Working on a Faculty Hiring Plan to allow departments to plan staffing.
b. Educational Policies – (E. Asencio) - Working on On-line Course Policy they got from APARC.
c. Faculty Standards and Affairs – (R. Whitkus)
- Faculty Affairs has asked for small changes to the RTP calander to allow provost and president more time to write reviews.
- Working on Lecturer Range Elevation Policy which was last updated in 2000 and is out-of-date with CBA .
d. Student Affairs – (K. Thompson / M. Shott)
- Updating Priority Registration Policy to align with AB 2881 that requires priority registration for parents. Currently 600-800 students get priority registration each semester
- Updating Learning Objectives for Freshman Orientation.
7. CFA Chapter President – (N. Reyes)
- Meet 1st Wednesday of each month in-person and 3rd Wednesday on-line.
- Discussing workload / salary / health and safety - especially mental health / alternatives to campus policing.
- On line survey about what issues faculty are concerned with will be sent out soon. A representative for Statewide CFA is coming in-person in March to hear faculty concerns.
