SSU Academic Senate Meeting of 12 May 2022: Chair Morimoto provided some data regarding the successful No Confidence vote. There were 173 YES, 105 NO, and a large number of abstains. Turnout by employment category: TT 83%; SSP2+ 41%; lecturers 28%; coaches 14%.
SSU Academic Senate Meeting of 28 April 2022: Chair Morimoto made some clarifying comments about the selection of membership for the ad hoc Budget Committee. She acknowledged that members were not “elected”, because due to the urgency of getting the group together it was necessary to shortcut the full process.
SSU Academic Senate Meeting of 14 April 2022: Because of Spring Break, this was the first Academic Senate meeting since 17 March. Because of the high drama unfolding this week, over 150 people participated in the Senate’s zoom meeting. Normally attendance is about 50. (There are only about 20-24 voting members of the Senate.)

The SSU Emeritus and Retired Faculty & Staff Association (SSU-ERFSA) provides opportunities for maintaining professional relations with colleagues; works to address concerns and preserve the rights and benefits of emeritus and retired faculty and staff; provides a voice for retired faculty through an elected representative to the SSU Academic Senate; and, keeps up to date with the statewide organization, California State University - Emeritus and Retired Faculty Association (CSU-ERFA), which protects the rights of retired California State University faculty and staff.
